Problem Note 36047: Clicking after a semicolon in the SAS® 9.2 Enhanced Editor causes the cursor to jump to the left

DetailsAboutRate It

When you open or create a .sas program in the SAS 9.2 Phase 2 Enhanced Editor, the cursor jumps to the left if you click it immediately after a semicolon (;) at the end of a line when the option allow cursor movement past end of line is selected.

If allow cursor movement past end of line is not selected, the cursor works as expected when you click it after the semicolon.

To deselect the allow cursor movement past end of line option:

  1. From within SAS®, click the Enhanced Editor to make it the active window.
  2. Select Tools ► Options ► Enhanced Editor.
  3. Select the General tab. You deselect the option on this tab.
